Air distribution system for heat recovery ventilation

The ARIA CONNECT and ARIA FLAT 500 plastic duct systems are energy-efficient solutions for heat recovery ventilation, ensuring clean and fresh indoor air thanks to the use of the Ultra-Fresh® antibacterial additive. The range includes round ducts with diameters of 63 mm, 75 mm and 90 mm (ARIA CONNECT), as well as a system based on flat ducting (ARIA FLAT 500).

The solution has been developed based on many years of expert experience and high-quality components and, when combined with the ARIA ADURO system, forms a complete air distribution system for HEATPEX ARIA mechanical ventilation with heat recovery.

What other advantages make this solution stand out?

Firstly – Investors and Installers can efficiently design the system infrastructure using the intuitive ARIA PLANNER application, which in three simple steps facilitates the preparation of project documentation and a list of required materials.

Secondly – the system incorporates proprietary OneClick® technology, enabling fast and trouble-free installation without the need for specialist tools.

Thirdly – the solution meets the most restrictive ATC1 airtightness class, ensuring lower noise levels and an energy-efficient heat recovery system.

Fourthly – the possibility of combining round and flat duct systems, as well as using different duct diameters within a single installation.

The HEATPEX ARIA CONNECT distribution box with OneClick® technology is connected directly to the MVHR unit. A ventilation system should consist of at least two distribution boxes — a supply box delivering fresh air to the rooms and an extract box collecting used air.

The box is manufactured from durable and lightweight polypropylene (PP – virgin raw material), ensuring reliable long-term operation without the risk of mechanical damage thanks to a specialised plasticiser additive. The material is fully recyclable.

The proprietary OneClick® connection system enables very fast and easy installation of all system components without the use of tools. If changes are required during installation, individual parts can be easily disconnected without the risk of damage. The ARIA heat recovery system is the only solution on the market to achieve the highest airtightness class — ATC1 in accordance with the PN-EN 17192 standard — ensuring greater energy efficiency and quiet operation.

  • In the basic configuration, there are 12 connections with gaskets and rings using OneClick® technology, enabling quick and convenient installation of ventilation ducts.
  • The modular design allows for expansion with additional distribution boxes using horizontal connectors (16 connections - 2 boxes) and vertical connectors (24 connections - 2 boxes).
  • The ARIA heat recovery system is the first and only one on the market to achieve the highest airtightness class - ATC 1 according to the PN-EN 17192 standard.
  • The option to connect the main central or side connector to the heat recovery unit.
  • High mechanical resistance is achieved through the use of a specialized plasticizer additive.

The distribution box includes the following elements*:

  • The body with 4 connection sockets. – 1 pc.
  • The 4x63 mm module along with the gasket for the elliptical socket. – 2 pcs.
  • The cover of the distribution box along with the gasket. – 2 pcs.
  • Mounting ring for 63 mm pipe. – 12 pcs.
  • Blind plug for the distribution box. – 12 pcs.

*) The distribution box is delivered fully assembled and aesthetically packaged.

Semi-rigid air distribution system

HEATPEX ARIA CONNECT / FLAT500

TOP AIRTIGHTNESS CLASS (ATC 1)

Quiet and energy-efficient HRV system

Through the use of appropriate materials and the patented OneClick® connection system between individual system components, the highest airtightness class (ATC1) according to the PN-EN 17192 standard has been achieved. This means that the airtightness of the ductwork is three times higher than that of class D.

This performance is achieved without the use of any additional sealing materials during installation. The ATC1 airtightness class has been confirmed by tests carried out by an independent laboratory, making the system one of the first — and still the only — solutions on the market to meet this most restrictive standard since 2019.

As a result, users benefit from lower noise levels and increased energy savings.

INSTALLATION FASTER THAN EVER BEFORE

ONECLICK technology®

OneClick® technology is a proprietary connection system developed by HEATPEX. It allows all heat recovery components to be joined without tools. Should your plans change during installation, parts can be easily disconnected and reused with no risk of damage.

ANTIBACTERIAL COMES AS STANDARD

Breathe fresh and clean air at all times

The entire HEATPEX ARIA CONNECT air distribution system is treated with the Ultra – Fresh® antimicrobial additives to make the air ducts resistant to microbes (99,99% reduction). This has been confirmed by independent lab tests according to  ISO 22196 standards.

The antibacterial additive from a renowned manufacturer, whose main component is silver phosphate glass, is also used by over 300 global brands across 50 countries worldwide.

In addition, an antistatic additive and smooth inner surface of the air duct keeps dirt deposits to a minimum.

The high level of hygiene of the ARIA system is confirmed by the National Institute of Public Health – PZH.

HIGHLY CUSTOMISABLE

6 basic elements only

The modular design of the system makes it easy to customise its parts to the specific requirements of any building. This helps to reduce the number of parts which are left unused, to limit the space taken by the ventilation system to a minimum and to keep the costs of the entire project as low as possible.

The ability to combine flat and radial ducts, as well as multiple diameters within one system, ensures optimised airflow and greater installation flexibility.

Distribution boxes can be connected horizontally or vertically, increasing the number of slots needed.

OPTIMAL INSTALLATION

Possibility of combining different diameters: 63 mm, 75 mm, 90 mm and, also flat duct system 50mm

The ARIA CONNECT radial duct system offers flexibility in designing ventilation installations, allowing the combination of ducts with diameters of 63 mm, 75 mm and 90 mm, as well as integration with the ARIA FLAT 500 flat duct system — even within a single floor. This enables optimal adjustment of the installation to the building layout and the specific needs of each room.

Larger pipe diameters, such as 90 mm, can be used where maximum airflow efficiency and noise reduction are important, making them ideal for bedrooms, living rooms and larger spaces. The ARIA FLAT 500 flat duct, with a height of only 6 cm, is perfectly suited to areas with limited installation space.

Smaller pipe diameters are ideal for hiding in ceilings between floors or in areas with dropped ceilings, and are well-suited for spaces where airflow requirements are lower, such as toilets and walk-in wardrobes. Combining them with the flat duct system (with an overall height of just 6 cm) increases design flexibility and enhances the aesthetic appearance of the installation.

DISCOVER ALL ADVANTAGES OF ARIA

  • LOW NOISE LEVEL

The optimal air flow through different parts of the system and double wall pipes helps to reduce the level of noise generated by the flowing air, which matters especially during the night.

  • DURABILITY & STRENGTH

The system components are made of extremely light yet durable plastic material ensuring reliable operation for years, without the risk of mechanical damage or corrosion.

More importantly the construction material used (PP – polypropylene) is considered safe as it poses no health hazard and is 100% recyclable.

  • LOW PRESSURE LOSS

The careful design of each single part of the system and smooth inner surface of the pipes allow to keep the system’s pressure loss low.

  • COMPACT SIZE

The small size of the HEATPEX ARIA CONNECT and ARIA FLAT500 systems allows to conceal the parts of the system in the ceiling, either in the insulation layer covered with screed or inside the plenum space if a dropped ceiling is used.

The height of the distribution box is only 10.6 cm.
